- Export to STL from Keycreator
- Open model in Blender
- Select Model
- 'Tab' to enter edit mode
- 'a' to select all
- 'w,6' to remove multiple vertices
- 'alt+j' to convert to quads (from triangles)
To separate the mesh into parts:
- Select the part you want to separate (b - border, shift - add, alt - subtract)
- 'p' to separate
To set object hierarchy:
- Select all the child objects and then the parent
- Ctrl+P to set the parent.
To set the names of objects:
- Right click to select the object (in Object Mode and Edit Mode)
- Set the name in the 'OB:' text box.
To export to xaml:
- Download export script from http://xamlexporter.codeplex.com/
- Put xaml_export.py in blender's script directory (one of the following)
- C:\Program Files\Blender Foundation\Blender\.blender\scripts
- C:\Documents and Settings\
\Application Data\Blender Foundation\Blender\.blender\scripts - Select everything you want to export.
- File > Export > Xaml
